Recently, the transaction prices of electric furnace (EF) killed wire rods have stayed in downward trend in the Taiwanese market.
At present, the transaction prices of EF killed wire rods have decreased to NT$20,500/ton.
Industry sources pointed out that the prices might remain weak in the short term due to weak demand and dropped steel prices.
Meanwhile, the transaction prices of EF killed wire rods had ever surged to NT$23,500/ton in the Taiwanese market last year.
